Join or make a team

Bring your own team into the league. 4 players minimum are needed for a team but you can effectively have up to 7. Play with your friends or fashion a team from the players you know. If you have no team, we will be happy to help you out and find you one that best suits your needs.

Costs

To join the league the cost of registering is $25. We generally charge each team a set amount. This amount reflects the amount of weeks we will be playing at $20 x 4 players per evening. We play for 26 weeks for the regular season as well as 2 week-ends at the end of the season.

Prizes

At the end of the season we have the singles and teams finals. There will be cash prizes as well as our grand prize draws. The Grand prize is a trip for 5 players to play in Las Vegas Nevada at the BCA international tournament. This is a redeemable prize available in cash for teams that can't attend.

Team Handicap

This year the league will be moving from an average based handicap system to a Fargo based system on a trial basis for the first half of the season. League night team handicap is calculated on the combined Fargo for the 4 players in the round. The team with the lower handicap receives 1 point for every 50 difference in total Fargo. There is a maximum of 12 points per round that a team can receive with a total of 72 points for the night.

Missing Player

In the event your team is missing a player, a solution can almost always be found. A spare player can be found from another player in the league, even if they are already playing that night, they can play a double if necessary. If another player can't be found, the 3 remaining players can take turns filling in for a fourth player. As a deterrent to having a missing player, the maximum points that can be gained is 7, even with a win.

Season Prizes

Although there are nominal cash prizes awarded to all teams for the season final placement, the main prizes are for 1st (2 extra grand prize entry), 2nd and 3rd (1 extra grand prize entry each). These entries are for the grand prize draw of 2 teams of 5 players to compete in the BCA internation tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada the following year to the finals. There will be a singles and round robin tournament that will have additional prizes and trophies.

The BCA Pool League is an umbrella membership organization that allows pool leagues around the world to "Be Part of Something Bigger." A single local league, even one with hundreds of members, is limited in what it can offer its members. However, when hundreds or thousands of leagues around the world band together under the BCA Pool League umbrella, the economy of scale provides all leagues value and benefits that they could not achieve alone.
